Utorrent change location of downloaded files






















 · I am trying to figure out how to move a torrent location (after it downloads) to another spot and start the seed process again without it trying to download the entire file again. The driver behind this is that I use a seedbox to download the larger files and upload them faster to achieve a ratio. The issue is that some of the files don't.  · Here's how to move your downloaded files: 1) Create the new folder that you want to move your files to. 2) Go to utorrent and select the files that you want to move. 3) Right click - advanced - set download location. 4) A window will pop up, navigate to the folder that you want your files to be in and hit "Select Folder".  · A new dialog will pop up asking you where to download your torrent file to. Navigate to the new location and just click Select Folder. uTorrent will automatically move the files for you to the new location. You may have to wait a little bit if a large amount of data has to be transferred over to the new location. Step 3: Now that the files have beenEstimated Reading Time: 3 mins.


Eh, no, that's NOT how uTorrent handles it. If you chose to set download location to somewhere else in uTorrent, it MOVES THE FILES, and removes them from the original location. Also, if you move them manually, and recheck in the new location, it doesn't start to download them all over again. Hence, uTorrent DOES IT RIGHT. Seed Files Inside a Renamed or Moved Folder. 1. Stop the torrent by right-clicking it and choosing ''Stop''. 2. In uTorrent, right-click the torrent and choose ''Advanced - Set Download Location. I decided to clean-up my Download file by moving downloaded torrents to specific folders within the Download file. It was getting kinda' hard to find files. Now uTorrent doesn't know where to look for the 25 or more files. Is there a specific way to tell uTorrent where the files are now on my com.


Use the file name that you used while downloading the file, and the Search feature should display the files, and the location of the files as well.
