Can you download files into a sandbox

You can upload the files there using your credentials and the UI or CLI and make them (temporarily) publicly accessible and then use the HTTPS URL of the file.  · Sandbox-Defaultbox(f.i.)-Sandbox settings-Recovery-Quick Recovery-Add Folder. Choose that path in sandboxie and select your download folder, f.i. on an USB stick/drive/etc. if such are used as 'other media'.  · Copy an executable file (and any other files needed to run the application) from the host and paste them into the Windows Sandbox window. Run the executable file or installer inside the sandbox. When you're finished experimenting, close the sandbox.

In case you don't see anything to recover, you can also use the "Explore contents" option (which opens File Explorer) to manually browse your sandbox and recover the content. The latter is common if you use a custom download folder instead of Windows' default one. You can manually reset Universe Sandbox's settings by deleting the settings file. First, find the folder where the settings file is saved: If you can run Universe Sandbox, from the home menu, select "Debug Tools". Select 'Open Persistent Data Path'. If you can't run Universe Sandbox the file is found here. Switch to the Windows Sandbox window and paste the file. Also, you can directly download a file using the Edge browser in the Sandbox session. Run the app in Sandbox by clicking on the file you just paste. After you checked and tested the app, you can just close the Sandbox window.

The Sandbox provides an isolated, temporary virtual environment through which you can download, install, and run unknown and untested applications. Sandbox also includes a unique convenience: you can copy files in and out of the virtual PC, bringing them out of quarantine if you’re absolutely sure they’re safe. Now let's say you want to download an executable file or any other file in Sandboxie. It won't be visible in your Downloads folder in Windows Explorer if you do so because the download is isolated in the sandbox. You need to recover the download, and to do so click on Default box Quick Recovery.
