The only solution for that problem, is to limit the upload speed manually to 25kb, and then when the download is complete, unlimit the upload speed. Answer (1 of 16): Torrent systems works on mutual sharing mechanisms in their software. You are supposed to share data. Decreasing your upload speed limits what you share and what others receive from you. If you put it up to 25kB/s, you'll notice your download speeds slow to a crawl and if you ping your ISP before and after you turn on uTorrent, you'll notice the pings are significantly higher when you're maxing out your upstream.
